Hello, summer!
The other day, I attended the Havaianas press conference where the flip-flop folks announced an awesome giveaway—a free trip to Brazil for one winner and three of the winner’s friends! But before I get to that, let me show you what happened at the event.
I shared a table with the gals of Total Girl magazine—editors Shiloah and CH and publisher Koko—and Men’s Health managing editor Peejo. We all enjoyed lunch and all that, but what really made us grin from ear to ear were the colorful fruit popsicles they offered to us as we entered The Stock Market, venue for the lunch presscon.
What was so great about these popsicles? They were…subtle. Usually, I find these things too something (overly melon-y, overly chocolatey, overly sugary, overly icy, and so on), but this bunch had a wonderful balance of fruitiness and sweetness. We also loved the shape! Slim sticks, they were easy to handle and fun to eat. I liked them so much that I snooped around after the event and asked who made them. I won’t tell you for now, because I want to try and get the recipe for the magazine. Wish me luck!
OK, back to the Havaianas event. The good folks there have decided that it’s time their loyal customers get a taste of the country that brought slipper-wearing into vogue all around the world. Yes, they are sending one winner (along with three pals) on a 12-day all-expense paid trip to Brazil!
