ive heard of numerous things about how to cook pasta properly. and im really confused about it. professionals say wag daw dapat lagyan ng oil after cooking kasi it prevents the sauce from sticking to the pasta. the same rin with letting water run sa cooked pasta, as it washes away the starch needed para kumapit daw ang pasta. so so far all the things ive been doing eh mali pala. watcha think?
**nag feature na ba ang yummy ng article about cooking pasta dishes properly? thanks.

We usually boil any pasta (except quick-cook spaghetti) for 5 mins, keep it in the hot water until it is 'al dente' then drain. I'm not sure if this is ok but it works for us. hehe
when i cook pasta i put oil.
I cook pasta often at least 3 times in a week. There are really some pasta brands that gets soggy even if you follow the instructions in the packet. Bad thing about that is when you cooked a lot of it and you have no choice but consume it. So I now buy the pricier ones with good quality even if it costs more. A lesson learned.
If the package says 10 mins, take the pasta off the heat 1 minute earlier, that is at the 9 minute mark. The residual heat will continue to cook your pasta even when you're p*ssing cool water over it. This will make sure your pasta is al dente.
sabi ng iba, ihagis daw sa pader, pag dumikit luto na... hehehe
