I live in Batangas right now so there are lots of buko pies, but I can't seem to find a decent one. Or, wait. There's actually one that I like, which is a store near my place in Lipa but on the opposite direction of my apartment so I never go in that direction. I don't know the name of the store, but I was satisfied with their buko pie the few times I tried it.
I remember liking Colette's when we would visit Tagaytay when I was younger. Unfortunately, ALL the Colette's buko pies I've tried the past few years have been a letdown. I don't know if it's because Colette's is so commercialized now (a branch in every other corner), but their buko pies tend to be so-so to downright horrible. I stopped buying Colette's after I bought a couple of pies and even my mom, who isn't that particular about taste as I am, said thatthe pie only tasted like sugar and nothing more

Just last weekend my Dad bought some from a branch in Laguna and while the pie was better, it wasn't that great either. The pies were also thin (skimped on the coconut and ingredients, probably).
I hope I'll have the chance to try out D'Original buko pie. Is it only sold in Laguna?
