Deceptively Delicious
Sneak in veggies in a delicious way with this cookbook.
Deceptively Delicious
By Jessica Seinfeld
The age-old problem of having your kids eat their veggies is finally resolved with this collection of over 50 recipes which wisely incorporates vegetables into everyday meals. Like many parents, Jessica, mother of three and wife to actor Jerry Seinfeld, struggled in having her kids to eat healthy. But instead of giving up, she faced the challenge head on and sneaked in pureed veggies into classic dishes, without the kids even noticing it. She put the food processor to good use and mixed in carrot puree in Italian meatloaf, cauliflower in macaroni and cheese, sweet potato in grilled cheese sandwiches, and spinach in blueberry oatmeal bars. It’s a wise solution to the long-standing problem and one that the kids don’t even have to know.
Recipes that piqued our taste buds: Blueberry Lemon Muffins, Meatball Soup, Aloha Chicken Kebabs, Tofu Nuggets, Avocado Spread, Banana Marshmallow Dip, Frozen Yogurt Pops, and Lemon Raspberry Cupcakes
