This is a must-have for baking pies and tarts, but it can also be used for other nifty things.

Roll with it
Don't feel like making tarts or other sweets? How about crackers and flatbreads instead? Look for a rolling pin that is long, thin, and streamlined. Handles aren't necessary; it's often easier to control the amount of pressure you exert without them.

Crush on you
Does the recipe call for crushed crackers, nuts, or candy? Place the ingredient in a plastic bag, seal it, and use the rolling pin to easily crush what you need.

Sandwich sushi
Here's a fun idea! Use your rolling pin to flatten sandwich bread. Spread peanut butter on top and place toppings (such as mango strips or sliced apples) on the bottom half. Roll up into a log and slice into pieces. Secure with toothpicks.
