Book:Culinary Roadtrip

Follow the Batali-Paltrow itinerary as they tour all of Spain in search for good food.

By: Yummy

The author Mario Batali, TV chef and author of cookbooks Molto Italiano and Italian Grill, with friend and award-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow

The lowdown This book is a companion to the TV series Spain...On the Road Again. The premise? Batali and Paltrow merge exciting travel and good food as they tour all of Spain. Proving to be an interesting mix, the two are once again joined here by travel companions and fellow food enthusiasts, food writer Mark Bittman and Spanish actress Claudia Bassols. The celebrity foursome showcase the country’s regional cuisine, culture, and history, eating at famous restaurants and touring sights like the Guggenheim and Alhambra. Expect hundreds of full-colored, gorgeous photos, and over 70 delectable, surprisingly easy-to-do, classic Spanish dishes that make you dream—and taste—Spain like never before. Though Batali is known for his Italian roots, he is quick to point out that his passion lies in Spanish cuisine having spent his early years traveling in the Iberian Peninsula with his family.

The must-tries Gypsy Salad, Slow-roasted Chicken, Pan con Tomate, Valencian Paella, Gwyneth’s Clams
