Best organizer
"I use Ziploc for almost everything. When I buy chips or crackers and don't get to finish the whole bag, I store them in resealable plastic bags and they really stay crisp for a long time! When you see my pantry, it’s arranged like a mini grocery where each item is lined up neatly and by category."

Having a party? Go white!
"Richard and I buy a lot of big white plates. Sometimes, even when we're abroad and we see a really big plate that's useful for entertaining lots of people, we make sure to get it."
Be a thoughtful guest
"Whenever we’re invited to someone's house, I make sure to bring cheese, wine, or soap. Everyone I know loves receiving good cheese and wine. Soap, especially fragrant, hand-milled ones, is something a fellow hostess will appreciate."
Foodie reads
"I love the books of food crtic Ruth Reichl—Comfort me with Apples, Garlic and Sapphires, and Tender at the Bone. I also like Memories of Philippine Kitchens by Amy Besa and Romy Dorotan (Check out our review here), and a book called Paninis that Richard recently bought for me."
