Pinoy Bistek

500 grams lean beef
1 1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
1/4 cup calamansi juice
1 tablespoon fish sauce (patis)
2 tablespoons soy sauce

Combine garlic powder, calamansi juice, fish sauce, and soy sauce. Pour over meat and marinate for 3 hours or overnight.

Next to adobo, bistek is one of the most common baons for kids and adults because it keeps well for hours.

Garlic Fried Chicken

1 kilogram chicken legs
2 tablespoons fish sauce (patis)
5 pcs calamansi, juiced
1 teaspoon pepper
salt, to taste

Marinate chicken legs in fish sauce, calamansi juice and pepper for a few hours. Prick the chicken legs with a fork so the chicken will absorb the marinade.

Everyone loves fried chicken. This version is extra garlicky!

3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
3 tablespoons garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
