Chocolate Cupcake

This is a simple chocolate cupcake recipe that you and your kids will have fun doing. 


Ingredients:

A For the Cupcake
80g unsalter butter
280g caster sugar (can also use the usual table sugar)
200g all-purpose flour
40g cocoa powder (ricoa is a good brand to use)
1tbsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
240ml milk
2 large eggs
B For the Frosting
400g Icing Sugar
100g cocoa powder (ricoa is a good brand to use)
160g unsalted butter
50ml milk
colored sprinkles to decorate

Pre-heat oven to 190 degree Celcius, Gas Mark 5, line muffin tin with cupcake cases. Use an electric whisk with paddle attachment, beat together the butter, sugar, flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt on low speed. Pour milk and mix eggs and whisk. Mix the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. Fill the cases up to 2/3. Baked for 18-20 minutes. Check with the toothpick. For chocolate frosting, whisk icing sugar, butter and cocoa powder on low speed. Pour the milk and whisk until the frosting is soft and fluffy. Once the cupcakes are cool, add the frosting and use colored sprinkles to decorate, if desired.
