Check Out the Poke Bowls at This Must-Try Joint

You can customize your own bowl, too!

The poke trend found its way to Manila this year, with several spots dishing out their own version of this Hawaiian bowl of sliced raw fish served over soft sushi rice. Chef Kel Zaguirre (of Locavore fame) takes poke a notch higher by adding bold and familiar flavors: there’s kimchi aioli, white truffle oil, pickled ginger, and even “mangonnaise” to add to not only fish but chicken, steak, and even bacon.

Not your run-of-the-mill poke bowl.

They also let you customize this Hawaiian superfood. You can choose your grains (they have organic brown rice and quinoa, too!), proteins, mix-ins like cucumber, mango, and seaweed, sauces, and toppings. Don’t leave without trying their For the Rich Bowl—a delectable serving of steak, chimichurri, and truffle oil flavors that’s worth every spoonful.
