Crisp outside and soft inside, when you bite into it you’ll feel the crunch of the corn flakes, angel flakes, and walnuts bursting in your taste buds. Then you’ll feel the softness and the fusion of sweet and tangy taste of mangoes. The combination is simply divine!
2 egg whites
1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/2 cup sugar
2 1/2 cups cornflakes
1/2 cup angel flake or desiccated coconut
1/2 cup walnuts, coarsely chopped
1/2 cup dried mangoes, snipped
1 Preheat oven to 300º F.
2 Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until frothy. Gradually add the sugar and beat until stiff but not dry.
3 Fold in the rest of the ingredients.
4 Using spoons, drop the mixture by teaspoonfuls onto foil-lined baking sheets.
5 Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until crisp.
6 Let the baked munchies cool, then store in an airtight container.
