Here's a perfect drink to share with friends when the heat is on.
1 bunch fresh basil leaves
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 In a saucepan, comebine 1 bunch fresh basil leaves, 1 cup sugar, and 1/2 cup water.
2 Simmer until sugar is completely dissolved. Cool and strain syrup.
3 Mix syrup with 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice and 2 cups cold water. Chill.
4 When ready to serve, pour juice in ice-filled glasses and garnish with lemon slices.
