Turn the cereal favorite into a chocolatey bar your kids can enjoy at home and in school.
Makes 16 bars Prep Time 5 minutes Cooking Time 12 minutes
6 tablespoons unsalted butter, plus extra for greasing pan
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
300 grams mini marshmallows
6 cups plain Rice Krispies cereal
1 Butter an 8-inch square pan and line the bottom and sides with parchment paper. Butter the paper and set aside.
2 Melt butter in a large saucepan. Add cocoa powder and mix well.
3 Add marshmallows. Cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently until melted.
4 Stir in rice cereal and mix well.
5 Press rice mixture into prepared pan. Let cool to room temperature and cut into 16 bars. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
