15 ounces bittersweet/dark chocolate, finely chopped
1/2 cup heavy cream
2 cups heavy cream, whipped to soft peaks
1 Place the chocolate and 1/2 cup heavy cream in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat on high for 10 seconds; then stir to combine melted chocolate and cream. If bits of chocolate remain, heat for another 10 seconds and that should do it. Whisk; then set aside to let cool.
2 Once the chocolate mixture has cooled to room temperature, fold in the whipped cream. It will be a bit runny—pour into serving container and chill in the refrigerator until serving time.
