Cold Cooked Salmon with Honey Mustard Sauce and Apples
By Carina Guevara
This is one of the easiest ways to meet the once-a-week recommendation of doctors to lower bad cholesterol by eating salmon. You will be amazed at this simple combination of ingredients.
Serves 2 Prep Time 10 minutes Cooking Time 8 minutes
2 salmon fillets (1 1/2-inch thick)
salt and pepper to taste
salad greens
1/3 cup honey mustard sauce
peeled and chopped apples (a mix of red and green apples for a sweet and sour taste)
1 Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper. Heat up a grill pan until smoking hot (if it’s not hot enough, the salmon will stick to the pan) and cook the fillets about 3 minutes on each side, turning only once.
2 Flake the fillets into chunks and serve with some crisp greens drizzled with honey mustard dressing. Add apples to the container for fresh, complementary side bites.
