If the aroma won't get you, the taste sure will. This dish will have you sliding mussels in your mouth, one after another.
Makes 16 pieces Prep Time 10 minutes Cooking Time 20 minutes
16 pieces mussels, cleaned
3/4 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
salt and pepper to taste
1 Place mussels in a medium saucepan, cover and let steam in their own juices. Cook for about 10 minutes or until the shells open. Discard unopened ones. Remove the top cover of the mussels; set aside.
2 In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, cheese and garlic. Mix well. Season with salt and pepper.
3 Spread a spoonful of mayonnaise mixture on the mussels. Arrange mussels on a baking tray.
4 Bake in the oven or turbo broiler at 350F for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
