Add the refreshing flavor of mint into this beloved drink.
For the mint ice cubes
Pour water into ice trays. Place a fresh mint leaf into each section, and freeze.
For the iced tea
water
3 or 4 tea bags of black tea
For the syrup
1 cup white sugar
1 cup water
1 Fill a pitcher with water until it’s about three-fourths full. Pour water into a pan, bring to a boil, and remove from heat.
2 Add tea bags and steep for 15 to 20 minutes (keep covered).
3 Pour tea into pitcher and add about 2 cups of cold water. Add mint leaves.
4 Prepare the syrup: Combine sugar with water in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Remove from heat once sugar has dissolved. Cool at room temperature and place in a small serving pitcher.
Minty tip Place mint ice cubes into individual glasses and garnish with mint leaves. Set the iced tea and syrup and let friends help themselves.
