Spicy Sausage and Arugula Pasta

This pasta is deliciously simple, loaded with the good stuff, and packs a flavorful and fiery punch!

Serves 5 Prep Time 10 minutes Cooking Time 10 to 15 minutes

250 grams penne pasta, cooked according to package directions
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
2 large Hungarian sausage, diced
1 medium onion, chopped
1/3 cup chicken broth
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 cup arugula leaves
pepper to taste
Parmesan cheese
chilli flakes to garnish, optional

1 Heat oil and butter in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add sausage and onion; sauté until cooked.
2 Add chicken broth, garlic powder, and pepper; simmer for 5 minutes.

Add arugula leaves; mix until just wilted.
4 Toss or top sauce over cooked pasta. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and chilli flakes (optional) before serving.
