Here’s an idea—sneak some fiber into your kids’ snack by stuffing chocolate and marshmallows into whole-wheat tortillas.
Serves 4 to 6 Prep Time 10 minutes Cooking Time 5 to 10 minutes
1 pack small whole-wheat flour tortillas
1 cup hazelnut spread or melted dark chocolate
2 bananas, sliced
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1 cup marshmallows
2 granola bars, crumbled
1 Lay a tortilla on a plate. Spread some hazelnut spread or melted dark chocolate on half of the tortilla. Top with sliced bananas and chopped nuts or marshmallows and granola.
2 Fold in half to make a half-moon shape.
3 Heat a nonstick pan and cook the filled tortilla until lightly browned. Flip to toast the other side.
4 Serve whole or cut into wedges. Serve hot.
Melting tip: Not in the mood to heat a pan? Warm the quesadillas in the oven toaster instead!
