Topped with a classic trio—ground beef, fried egg, and fried bananas - this plate of rice makes for a wonderful meal anytime of the day.

Prep Time 12 minutes  Cooking Time 15 minutes

4 eggs, fried to your liking (sunny side up)
5 saging na saba
oil for frying (around 3/4 cups)
cooked rice

For the ground beef mixture
400 grams ground beef
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 clove of garlic, chopped
1/3 cup onions, minced
1/3 cup carrots, diced
1/4 cup raisins
2 tablespoons tomato paste
salt and pepper to taste
dash of Worcestershire sauce
dash of tabasco sauce

In a pan, sauté onions, garlic, and carrots in olive oil and tomato paste. Cook until the tomato paste has darkened in color but is not burned.

2  Add the ground beef and cook, stirring well.

Add all the sauces and seasonings. If the mixture is too dry, add 2 more tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce. Cook in the raisins when the meat is three-fourths cooked. Set aside.

4  Slice the bananas lengthwise and fry in oil until golden. Set aside.

To assemble: Place rice in a ring mold and drop onto plate. Top with ground beef mixture, then fried egg. Place fried bananas on the side.
