This double-chocolate treat would make cute Christmas gifts.
Makes 20 cookies
1/2 cup cream cheese
1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons softened butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup melted dark chocolate (we used Hershey’s Dark Chocolate)
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
melted red chocolate for drizzling
1 Using an electric mixer on medium speed, beat cream cheese, butter, sugar, and vanilla until well blended. Add flour and baking soda. Then add chocolate (we used Hershey’s Dark Chocolate); mix well. Add another all-purpose flour and mix by hand until incorporated.
2 Flatten dough with rolling pin until about 1/3-inch thick. Cut dough using a star-shaped cookie cutter. Place on baking sheet and bake in a 350ºF preheated oven for about 12 minutes. Cool. Drizzle with melted red chocolate.
