Deliver a yummy token of thanks to colleagues, your kids' teachers, and other favorite folks with this fruit-and-nut duo.
Makes 3 to 4 servings
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons corn syrup
1 tablespoon butter
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups pecans
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1 In a nonstick pan, heat together sugar, corn syrup, and butter. Let it boil. Turn off heat. baking soda; mix well. Toss in pecans until well coated. Transfer to a baking tray.
2 Bake in a 300ºF oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until toasted. Cool. Mix in dried cranberries. To give as a gift, place mixture in an airtight container.
