The dash of curry makes the ketchup more exciting.
2 tablspoons butter
4 pieces bratwurst sausage, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
1 cup tomato sauce
1 cup catsup
2 tablespoons curry powder, plus extra curry powder for garnish
1 teaspoon white sugar
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
Add 4 pieces bratwurst and sauté until slightly browned.
Stir in tomato sauce and ketchup. Add curry powder, white sugar, and onion powder; mix well.
Lower heat, cover, and cook for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Sprinkle with extra curry powder to garnish. Serve with fries and extra sauce on the side. (Alternatively, you can also cook the sauce separately and pour it over grilled bratwurst.)
