Even grownups get bored with the ordinary hotdog in a bun. Here's an original recipe that will have kids—and parents—craving for more.

Serves Prep Time 5 minutes  Cooking Time 30 minutes

9 pieces frankfurter or any hotdog
6 medium potatoes
1/4 pound Velveeta or quick-melt cheese, sliced
1 cup hot milk
1 tablespoon mustard
salt, to taste
1 cup mixed vegetables, cooked in melted butter

Cook hotdogs in boiling water for 10 minutes. Then cut each in half lengthwise.

Place cut side up on cookie sheet in groups of 3.

3  Boil potatoes in salted water until done. Mash.

Melt cheese in hot milk then add to mashed potatoes. Add mustard and salt.

5  Pile potatoes on top of hotdogs, followed by mixed veggies. Serve as finger food.
