Mita's Fudgy Brownies

Mita's Fudgy Brownies

This rich and sweet brownie is one of the most popular products at Mita’s Bakeshop, a home-based baking business run by Nica and Manny Cinco.

Makes 16 2x2-inch brownies 
Prep Time 25 minutes 
Baking Time 25 to 30 minutes

 

1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
1/3 cup cocoa
1/2 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce, to serve

 

Preheat oven to 350ºF.

Cream the butter and sugar until light.

Add eggs and vanilla.

Add cocoa, flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.

5  Pour batter into a greased 8x8-inch pan and bake for 25 to 30 minutes.  Serve a la mode, if desired.
