Nikka’s Broccoli con Carne

“The broccoli gives it a healthy twist and sweetish taste to make this dish not only delicious but
also nutritious. My husband loves this because there’s meat!” says Nikka Cleofe-Alejar, entrepreneur and newcaster.

 

1 whole garlic, minced
1 small onion, minced
1 tablespoon cooking oil for frying
1/4 kilo beef strips
1/4 cup water
5 tablespoons oyster sauce
1 head broccoli, cut into florets
sugar, salt, pepper to taste

 

1   Sauté garlic and onion in 1 cooking oil. Stir in beef strips. Add cup water and simmer. Pour in oyster sauce. Continue to cook until tender. Lightly toss in broccoli.

Cover the pan but don’t overcook the broccoli. Season with sugar, salt, and pepper.
