Peking Bacon Cuapao

Peking Bacon Cuapao

Anything with bacon is irresistible and this sandwich is no exception. Smoky bacon with a sweet Asian sauce on soft, pillow-like buns—your kids will wipe this out in seconds.

Serves
2 to 3 
Prep Time
20 minutes 
Cooking Time
10 minutes

 

3/4 cup shredded cucumber
1 cup bacon, chopped
2 to 3 cuapao buns
1 to 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce

 

Place shredded cucumber in a strainer to drain. Transfer to a bowl and set aside in the chiller until ready to use.

2  Pan-fry chopped bacon until cooked and lightly browned. Drain on paper towels and set aside.

To assemble: Steam cuapao until soft. Slice in half and fill with shredded cucumber and cooked bacon. Drizzle with hoisin sauce.
