Your fave dimsum is easy to make!
2 1/2 cups pork, use ground pork
1/2 cup pork fat, cut into small cubes
1 cup shrimp, peeled and chopped
1/2 cup fresh shiitake mushrooms
1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
1/2 teaspoon rice wine
salt, to taste
pepper, to taste
40 pieces siomai wrapper
soy sauce, to serve
calamansi, to serve
Make the filling: Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl until well combined. Marinate for at least 1 hour.
Fill each wrapper with a tablespoon of filling. Bring up the edges of the wrapper to envelop the filling. Freeze until ready to cook.
To cook, steam siomai for 12 to 15 minutes. Serve immediately with soy sauce and calamansion the side.
