Makes 10  Prep Time 10 minutes  Cooking Time 30 minutes

1/2 kilo potatoes 
1 teaspoon olive oil 
salt and pepper to taste

1  Peel potatoes and boil until half-cooked, about 3 to 5 minutes. Let cool then grate potatoes. 

2  Heat olive oil until very hot in an 8-inch nonstick pan. Add potatoes, covering bottom of pan, then flatten with a spatula and season with salt and pepper. Cook over medium heat until brown. Flip potatoes and cook other side until golden brown. Repeat to make a total of 10 pieces. Slice into quarters, if desired.
