Stir-fried Beef in Garlic Oyster Sauce

Stir-fried Beef in Garlic Oyster Sauce

Need a meal in minutes? Try this beef dish! It's fast, filling, and a full meal too!

Serves Prep Time 15 minutes   Cooking Time 5 minutes

250 grams sirloin, thinly sliced
half a head of garlic, chopped
1 small onion
1 small red bell pepper
1 small green bell pepper
3 tablespoons oyster sauce
4 tablespoons chicken stock
1 teaspoon brown sugar
salt and pepper
1 teaspoon sesame oil
spring onion
sesame seeds

1  Heat oil in high heat and stir-fry beef, garlic, onion, and peppers for 2 minutes.

Add oyster sauce, chicken stock, and brown sugar, and stir-fry for another 2 minutes.

3  Season with salt and pepper. Add sesame oil before removing from heat. Top with spring onions and sesame seeds.

Garnishing tip:  Got a bottle of garlic chips? Use it as a garnish or pound the chips—voilà, garlic powder. Mix the powder with some salt and you’ve got garlic salt.

This dish is delicious and great with rice! My usually finicky and hard-to -please 74 year old mother liked this dish very much!

For the best flavor, use Lee Kum Kee Oyster Sauce. Buy beef sirloin from the supermarket counter and request that it be sliced thinly by their machine.

No chicken stock? No problem! Just use water. The oyster sauce is salty enough as it is.

No sesame seeds? No problem! The dish tastes great even without the sesame seeds.
