Small bites, big flavor! This sweet sandwich is a modern take on the popular tiramisu.
Makes 6
1 cup espresso (or your favorite coffee brew)
12 ladyfingers (broas)
1/4 cup chopped strawberries
1/4 cup cream cheese
1/4 cup whipping cream
2 tablespoons strawberry jam
a small amount of liquor (optional)
1 Pour espresso into a large baking dish. Place ladyfingers; allow coffee to be absorbed on one side of the biscuits. Transfer to a large plate or tray, coffee side up; set aside.
2 In a bowl, mix together strawberries, cream cheese, whipping cream, and strawberry jam. Spread mixture evenly on 6 ladyfingers. Top with remaining ladyfingers, coffee side in. Chill for a few minutes before serving. For an added punch, pour a small amount of liquor into the espresso mixture.
Substitution tip: For this recipe, you can also use any of your favorite biscuits in place of the ladyfingers (broas).
