Potato chips plus chocolate - combined to make cookies - equals a winning treat.
Makes 2 to 3 dozen Prep Time 20 minutes Baking Time 10 to 12 minutes
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
2 cups crushed potato chips
3/4 cup melted chocolate for dipping
1 Preheat oven to 350ºF.
2 Sift together flour and baking soda; set aside.
3 In another bowl, cream butter and sugars. Beat in egg and vanilla until well incorporated.
4 Mix in flour until just incorporated; do not overmix.
5 Fold in chocolate chips and crushed potato chips.
6 Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until light brown in color.
7 Cool and dip half of each cookie into the melted chocolate. Cool in the chiller for 5 to 10 minutes or until chocolate has set.
