Make an impression by starting a family meal with this creamy mixed mushrooms smothered over crusty bread.
Serves 4 Prep Time 10 minutes Cooking Time 10 minutes
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
1 cup fresh shiitake mushrooms, sliced
1 cup fresh button mushrooms, sliced
1 cup oyster mushrooms, sliced
1/4 teaspoon thyme
1 cup cream
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 piece baguette, sliced and toasted
1 In a sauté pan, heat oil and butter on medium-high heat. Sauté mushrooms in batches.
2 Add thyme. Next, add cream then stir until thickened. Season with salt and pepper.
3 Spoon mushrooms over toasted baguette slices. Serve.
