How to Make a Simple Tiramisu

Here's how you can make this Italian classic at home.

It's hard to resist any of our tiramisu recipes, but if you feel you need to practice your tiramisu-making skills first, try this. Here's how you can make your own tiramisu at home.

Whisk 2 cups mascarpone cheese, 1/4 cup sugar, 2 tablespoons amaretto until smooth; fold in 1 cup heavy cream (beaten to soft peaks).
Place 1 cup espresso (at room temperature) in a shallow dish and dip in enough ladyfingers to fill the bottom layer of a pan.
Spread half the mascarpone mixture over ladyfingers; sprinkle with chopped bittersweet chocolate. Repeat process. Refrigerate.
