In a pan, cook 1/2 kilo ground beef, 1 chopped onion, and 3 minced garlic cloves. Add 1/4 teaspoon each of dried thyme and oregano, and a pinch of chili flakes. Season with
salt and pepper. Set aside.
Cut about six small circles out of a thawed piece of store-bought pastry dough. Place 1 tablespoon of the meat mixture and a slice of hard-boiled egg in the center. Fold dough and seal edges with a fork.
Deep-fry pies in hot oil until golden brown. (Don't put in a lot at the same time to avoid lowering the oil's temperature.) Once cooked, place on paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve warm.
