9 Yummy Uses for Ice Cube Trays
They aren't just made for ice-making!

Ice cube trays aren't just for making ice or ice cubes. Here are 9 other ways to use them as seen in the gallery below.
1. Mini popsicle sticks
Fill ice cube tray with juice, pudding, or mashed fruit. Cover with foil. Poke popsicle sticks through each cube, and freeze.

2. Store fresh herbs
Freeze fresh herbs in ice cube trays with a little water, freeze. Drop into pan without thawing to season sauce- or soup-based dishes. Otherwise, thaw.

3. Leftover liquids
Fill ice cube tray compartments with leftover liquids like gravy, soup stock, egg whites, wine, tomato sauce or paste, etc. Cover filled slots with foil, freeze. Thaw when needed. Using it for a recipe? 2 cubes = 1/4 cup.

5. Store baby food
Save time by making baby food ahead of time. Fill compartments with puree, oatmeal, or rice cereal, place in airtight plastic bags, and freeze.

6. Iced coffee or iced tea
Fill ice cube trays with coffee or tea to make gourmet iced cubes, freeze. Use them to chill iced coffees or teas without diluting the flavors.

7. Fruity smoothies
Freeze ripe (or overripe) fruits for smoothies and milk shakes, without adding fat or sugar to your drink. Small frozen fruits are easier to blend than ice cubes.

8. Mini meat loaf
