When it comes to cookies, the sugar cookie is the most basic one. This was the basis of many cookie recipes. You can make many kinds of cookies with this recipe! These are the perfect cookies to bake into shapes since these barely spread so it keeps its shape as it bakes.

These are the cookies to decorate for the holidays, celebrations, and other special occasions. However, if you're not that artistic, you can still make these delicious because you can top or mix in other flavorful ingredients! Here are a few ideas we think would be super delicious to a sugar cookie dough to make it different every time you make it:

Chocolate chip cookies may be the ultimate cookie recipe. There are so many versions about how to make the perfect chocolate chip cookie. There are ways to make it even more delicious. You can use browned butter for a nut-free nuttiness and crisp edges, underbake it to ensure it's soft and chewy on the inside, add oatmeal to add heft as well as chewiness to the cookie, and you can even roll it in even more chocolate chips so there's no denying that this a chocolate chip cookie.

3 Oatmeal Cookies Recipe 

Oatmeal cookies are the kind of cookie that you either love or hate. If you're worried, not all oatmeal cookies need to have raisins. You can use other dried fruit, cut up into small pieces, or just leave it out if you're after the cinnamon-oatmeal combination that many people.

Want to add heft to your classic chocolate chip cookie recipe? Add oatmeal! You can add as much as 2 cups quick-cooking oatmeal or rolled oats to any basic cookie dough. You can process the oatmeal into flour. To do that, just blitz the oatmeal in a blender or a food processor until you get a powdered mixture that's as fine as you like.

4 Peanut Butter Cookies Recipe 

When you don't have enough butter on hand to make cookies, you can substitute some of it with peanut butter. Do so and you may create one delicious peanut butter cookie recipe.
