Chocolate-glazed doughnuts are probably one of the first doughnuts you've ever tried. You can easily recreate this favorite by making your own doughnuts and chocolate glaze at home! Or you can just get a box from your fave doughnut shop and get glazing with this easy chocolate glaze you're going to want to dip everything into from now on.
Chocolate Glaze Recipe
- Takes 30 minutes
- Makes 2 cups glaze
- 3 cups (300 grams) icing sugar
- 8 tablespoons (54 grams) Dutch-processed cocoa powder
- 4 tablespoons fresh milk
- 4 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 24 unglazed doughnuts
1 In a large bowl, sift icing sugar and cocoa powder. Add and then mix in milk and vanilla extract until a thick yet pourable glaze is formed.
2 To glaze, hold a doughnut and dip one side into the chocolate glaze. Let excess drip off then place on a wire rack placed over parchment paper. Repeat with remaining doughnuts. Serve.
