Easy No-bake Chocolate Oatmeal Bar Recipe

Oats are complex carbohydrates known to lift your energy levels, and fill you up with fiber, protein, magnesium, and zinc. It is also known to contain Vitamin B1, which can help put you in a happy mood; Phosphorus, which can help eliminate muscle weakness, and Vitamin B6, which can aid in brain functions. No-bake Chocolate Oatmeal Bars

Yields 2 dozen

 

 

Ingredients

1/2 cup coconut oil

1/2 cup milk

1/2 cup honey

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup peanut butter

1 cup dark chocolate chips

2 cups Quaker Rolled Oats

 

Procedure

1 Combine coconut oil, milk, honey, vanilla extract, and peanut butter in a saucepan over medium heat.

2 Add chocolate chips. Take the pan off the heat and stir to melt.

3 Add Quaker Rolled Oats. Mix until well-combined.

4 Pour into a greased 8×8 pan. Refrigerate until the chocolate hardens and then cut into 2-inch pieces.

 

PRO TIP! You can also try using other nut butters like almond butter or cashew butter. If you want added texture, pour in half a cup of dessicated coconut. If you’re a nut lover, sprinkle half a cup of chopped nuts like cashews, almonds, peanuts, walnuts, or pecans on top.

If you want to make it fruity and nutty, add chopped nuts and dried fruits into the oat mixture. You can also make s’mores by adding a layer of crushed grahams and tiny marshmallows on top. Don’t forget to torch the marshmallows until golden and puffy.
