Chocolate is an easy favorite in the dessert world. Seriously-what's better than rich, decadent, delicious chocolate?

Here's an old baking trick that will help you turn that chocolate flavor up a notch: add a shot of espresso into your batter or dough! Remember: you will need to substitute the same amount of liquid for the espresso that you are adding. For example, if you are adding a shot of espresso to a cake batter, take out a shot of milk from the original recipe.

Coffee highlights the earthy notes of chocolate without making your baked goods taste like coffee at all. You can use this coffee and chocolate combo with anything: cake, cookies, brownies, and bars.
