Galaxy Glaze Recipe
- Takes 30 minutes
- Makes 2 cups glaze
- 4 cups icing  sugar, sifted
- 8 tablespoons fresh milk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- Gel food coloring in purple, pink, blue, and black
- Glitter dust in silver and gold
- 24 unglazed doughnuts
1 In a large bowl, mix the icing sugar, milk and vanilla extract with a silicone spatula. Scoop about 1/2 cup glaze into 5 small bowls, leaving the remaining white glaze in the large bowl. Set aside.
2 In the smaller bowls, add then mix enough gel food coloring into each to create 4 vibrant colors.
3 Using a spoon for each color, dollop each color onto the surface of the white glaze. Swirl with a toothpick or bamboo skewer as desired to create a pattern.
4 Prepare a wire rack with parchment paper underneath to catch drips. Dip and drag the top of a doughnut into the surface of the glaze then let any excess drip off. Place on prepared wire rack. Immediately garnish with glitter dust. If desired, run a brush through the dust. Repeat with remaining doughnuts and glaze. Serve.
