When Fabulous Baker Brothers Tom and Henry Herbert visited Manila, we had a quick chat with them and they gave us a handful of smart tips on how to prep quick weekday dinners. Here’s Tom’s take on homemade frozen pizzas:
Once you’ve got a sourdough nailed (for recipe and video, click here), it’s then very easy to make sourdough pizzas.
Using exactly the same dough, take 150 grams (1 cup) of the dough, get them really nice and flat and then bake them off really lightly (at 200 degrees C for 10-15 minutes) and freeze them. That way, when you’ve got an emergency meal scenario and need to make something super quick, just pull the dough out of the freezer and top it with whatever you’ve got!
It doesn’t have to be authentic Italian! It can be anything you want, really. Stick it in the oven (at 200 degrees C) or under the grill for around five minutes and you’ve got yourself a meal. Everyone loves pizza!
