5 Stir-Fry Recipes Every Lazy Person Needs To Know

It's better than having to microwave everything.

We’d like to argue that the true king of quick cooking is the almighty stir-fry. While microwaving might seem like the obvious choice, stir-frying is actually a much simpler and much healthier way of cooking than a lot of people give it credit for!

The thing that makes stir-frying so great is how straightforward it is. All you need to do is have the ingredients at the ready (cutting up veg isn’t exactly a chore and, even then, you can easily find pre-chopped veggies in the supermarket) and toss everything into a hot pan!

Stir-frying is quick, easy and utterly satisfying.  You get the satisfaction of having cooked a meal for yourself, without all the extra thought or effort.

How about giving stir-frying a go? We’ve put together a list of five of stir-fry recipes you should try:

Chicken and Soba Stir-Fry

This hearty and totally healthy stir-fry gets a whole lot of heft thanks to the nutty (and totally gluten-free) buckwheat soba noodles that act as the backbone of the recipe. Who knew that being on a diet could taste so good?

Beef and Baby Corn Stir-Fry

We can’t help but squeal when we cook with baby corn because it’s almost too adorable to handle! Cute mini veggies aside, this beefy recipe makes use of a handful of classic Chinese flavors to help boost the natural savory flavour of the ingredients.

Chinese Vegetable Stir-Fry

Vegetables were practically made to be stir-fried. A quick flash in the pan will help to heat them up really quickly without turning them into mush. That way you’ll get all of the flavour without losing the natural snap and texture of the veg!

Korean Pork Stir-Fry

Did you think that only the Chinese could make a good stir-fry? We use a few extra-flavorful Korean ingredients like gochujang and gochugaru (fermented chilli miso paste and chilli powder respectively) to give this recipe a bit of heat.

Stir-Fried Noodles with Soy Sauce

We would be remiss not to include a super easy stir-fried noodle recipe on this list. Try using this recipe as a guideline and feel free to play around with the proportions depending on your taste and what you have in your kitchen!
