1 The Right Stove

Buy a stove that fits your needs and your home. Buying a gas stove will make sure you have something to cook with even during an electricity shortage. An induction stove will let you cook worry-free about running out of gas. Buying a stove with an oven will let you bake! Either way, make sure you buy two burners instead of one so you can cook two things at the same time like the boss that you are.

3 Oven Toaster

There's a novelty in having a toaster that dings when a sliced bread is ready, but it's actually a waste of space for something that only has one or two functions. If you're looking for good use of kitchen space, you have to go with an oven toaster! There are so many ways you can use an oven toaster beyond making toast. It will help you make desserts, make dinner, or heat up dinner with the least amount of dishes to wash later.

5 Blender

A quick soup for a busy night, a quick breakfast smoothie for a busy day, a shake on a hot day-for the hustling 30-year old, a blender can be a lifesaver. Go for a  high-powered bullet if you're making 3-4 portions, but if you've got a larger household, go for a blender.

6 Coffee Maker

Being an adult can mean having a set routine tuned to its best. For most routines, it includes a cup or two of coffee. If you skip the instant cofee step and use a coffee machine though, you'll upgrade your whole morning routine. A coffee machine won't just give you a freshly brewed cup of joe, it will also release a delicious aroma that will instantly make mornings better at first whiff.

7 Pressure Cooker

Braising and slow cooking can be great and all, but the most efficient, cost-saving way to tenderize meat through cooking is using a pressure cooker. Make all sorts of stews any day of the week once you master the pressure cooker.

You don't need a lot to do a lot in the kitchen. If you have at least these seven basic items, you'll be able to have homemade dinners, prepped lunches, and effortless breakfasts, as any adult should. So, which ones in this short list are you still missing?
