You can't go wrong with fried chicken! This fried chicken is particularly flavorful, thanks to the spice rub it gets before it is cooked. The chicken gets extra crispy skin from the steaming, before it even goes into the hot oil.

Adobo may not be Chinese in origin but we still made it into a delicious recipe. This Chinese-inspired version adds sweetness and more ingredients to make it heartier than usual. This has mushrooms with the pork plus an extra spice (Can you see the star anise?)  to make it taste different from the usual.
