1 Cream of Mushroom Soup Recipes

Fresh mushrooms make flavorful soups, but it’s not the only kind of mushroom that can deliver on flavor. Fresh mushrooms will need to be cooked down before these release their flavor. That’s where dried mushrooms can be the surprise as well as the secret ingredient. Drying mushrooms actually concentrates their flavor which is why you not only need to rehydrate them but you also want to save the water it was in. Once dried mushrooms are reconstituted, you get more flavorful, aromatic mushrooms, plus an umami-packed mushroom broth to use as a base for your soup.
