Vegetarian Pasta

Pasta dishes are easy meals to prepare any night of the week. The healthy amount of pasta and a guaranteed flavorful, and creamy sauce always makes for a satisfying meal.

It must be noted though, that pasta might be vegetarian, but it's not vegan because readily-available pasta uses eggs. What's the difference between vegetarian and vegan, you might ask? Vegetarians skip meat, but unlike vegans, they can still use animal by-products such as milk, and eggs that don't necessarily hurt animals.

If you're looking for a vegan alternative to pasta, you can use spaghetti squash, which may be hard to source locally, or use a spiralizer, a kitchen gadget that cuts zucchinis, carrots, cucumbers into strings.

Protein tip: Mushrooms aren't just an umami-packed aromatic that makes anything taste special, it's also loaded with protein.
