Teriyaki Chicken Is The Easy Japanese Chicken Recipe You Should Know

Sometimes when you're at the supermarket, you see an already prepared bottle of the sauce or marinade you were planning on making for
However, it's not always the best idea, especially for those who like knowing what exactly what goes into their food.
An easy teriyaki chicken recipe is one of those dishes that we think you can easily make. That's because we bet you already have all the ingredients you need in your kitchen now, too. All you need are four main ingredients plus the meat of your choice. (Chicken is always the classic choice.)
Here's what you need to make your very own teriyaki marinade that you can use on practically anything, including using it as a dip: soy sauce, garlic, honey or sugar, and sesame oil.Â
If you want to be more authentic, use soy sauce, mirin, sake, and sugar but while these ingredients are common, you may not have these in your kitchen.Â
This easy version relies on the fact that you like it sweet and that's a taste we Pinoys love! This is basically a no-recipe recipe, too: splash in some soy sauce, add chopped garlic, stir in enough sugar to your desired sweetness, and add enough drops of sesame oil for the mixture to have just enough of a delicious aroma to make you crave a taste of what you just made.Â
Once you make your marinade, add it to coat your desired meat. Use tuna, salmon, chicken chunks or whole chicken pieces, or even shrimp for a sweet and savory combo. Here are a few teriyaki recipes that we've already tried and tested to be delicious:Â
