This Adobo Is the Easiest 4-Ingredient Weeknight Dinner Ever

This easy Filipino pork adobo recipe comes together in only 30 minutes.

Who doesn't love the popular Filipino favorite, adobo? This recipe is perfect for weeknight cooking: only 4 main ingredients, a 3-step procedure, and 30 minutes of cooking time, and dinner is served! Filipino flavors shine through because of the adobo sauce that hugs the caramelized pork meat, while also being soaked up by tender cloves of garlic. Remember to prep some extra steamed white rice, too!  

 

Fried Pork Adobo

 

Prep Time  5 

Cooking Time  25 

Serves  4 

 

Ingredients: 

 

1 kilo pork belly, sliced into 2-inch pieces

2 heads garlic, cloves separated

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 cup vinegar

1/4 cup soy sauce 

 

Procedure: 

 

1  Place pork and garlic in a wok. Season with salt and pepper.

 

2  Add 1 cup water, vinegar, and soy sauce. Simmer over low heat until pork is tender and liquid is reduced by half.

 

3  Allow pork to render its fat and cook until brown and crisp on the side.
