Ginisang Monggo With Luncheon Meat Ingredients
2 potatoes, peeled, cubed
2 medium carrots, peeled, chopped
1/2 cup monggo beans, rinsed
1 small red onion, peeled, chopped
3 cloves garlic, peeled, chopped
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon curry powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
1 Knorr Pork Cube
4 cups water
1/2 340-gram canned luncheon meat, cubed
salt, to taste
ground black pepper, to taste
How to Cook Ginisang Monggo With Luncheon Meat
1 Place potatoes, carrots, and monggo beans at the bottom of the slow cooker pot. Add onion, garlic, ground cumin, curry powder, Spanish paprika, turmeric, Knorr Pork Cube, and water, and stir. Cover and cook on high for 4 hours or until potatoes, carrots, and monggo beans are tender.
2 Mash the chowder slightly with forks. Add canned meat in the last hour of cooking to cook until heated through. Season with more salt and ground black pepper to taste. Ladle into bowls, and serve with crackers or cups of hot rice.
